SCHINDLER FACTORY MUSEUM TICKETS.
The following news article has appeared on a few PL media outlets in the past couple of days.
It appears someone or some company has bought a block of 'all' Schindler's Museum tickets to resell them at inflated prices.
THIS IS THE OFFICIAL SITE FOR THE MUSEUM & FOR OFFICIAL TICKETS - https://muzeumkrakowa.pl/oddzialy/fabryka-emalia-oskara-schindlera
(I had a quick look and indeed, all slots in May & June and most in July are greyed out, meaning unavailable.) Translation of the TVP (national TV station) article;
_______________
Ticket crisis in Krakow. Guides cannot buy tickets to Schindler's Factory because they disappear from the sales system very quickly. Suspicions have arisen about mass buying of tickets and their resale at inflated prices.
Ticket problem in Krakow
Krakow guides are sounding the alarm: they want to guide tourists, but they can't, because tickets to the Schindler Factory Museum are either in short supply or available online at prices that are many times higher.
Tickets sell out in seconds
By mid-July, tickets to the Schindler Factory were completely sold out online. They appear in the system 90 days before the planned visit and sell out in a few dozen seconds.
"You can't buy tickets to the Schindler Factory. Tickets are made available 90 days before a given date and disappear immediately," complain the guides.
At midnight, tickets for July 23 could be purchased, but they were only available for a short while. The website displayed “time slots,” or entry times, that were immediately marked as sold out.
Bots and Ticket Wholesalers
Guides suspect that tickets are being bought by bots. Wholesalers buy tickets on a mass scale, then offer them for four times more, often in a package with guide services.
"But maybe someone doesn't want this particular guide, but wants to visit the exhibition on their own? For example, a historian who just wants to view the exhibition in peace," the guides point out.
Ticket horses at the museum
Tickets can be purchased at the museum's box office, but this involves a long wait. There are also often so-called "stacze" (people who buy tickets and then resell them at prices that are many times higher).
"There are some old guys, just like in communist times, lining up and buying up the entire pool of tickets, then selling them for double, triple or even quadruple the price," say witnesses to the situation.
As a result, guides often have to cancel group tours or cancel museum visits, despite the huge demand.

The museum is looking for a solution
Representatives of the Schindler Factory Museum admit that they are aware of the problem and are working on a solution. Currently, due to regulations, they cannot prohibit the sale of tickets, so as not to expose themselves to accusations of restricting competition.
Experts point out that an effective solution could be to introduce personalized tickets and raise ticket prices so that it would not be profitable to resell them on the black market.
