Today, there is the 30th anniversary of Poland’s first partly free election that marked the end of the communist era in the country and the entire CEE region. The partially free vote on June 4, 1989, handed victory to a government led by the Solidarity trade union and triggered a series of events culminating in the fall of the Berlin Wall that November. The song below, written by polish band "Chłopcy z Placu Broni", is about love for freedom.
