Globaltica is a unique event on the Polish festival map for at least several reasons. First of all, the organizers bring to Gdynia the regulars of the largest European festivals and winners of important world music awards. The festival is looking for areas where cultural roots meet modernity, showing that what is traditional can be fashionable and desirable in contemporary culture.
The festival is constantly developing on all levels. Since its inception, Globaltica has been not only a celebration of world music at the highest level, but also numerous accompanying events - exhibitions, workshops, film and literary meetings, and discussions.
