Łukasz Gos is one of the few somewhat recognisable translators who are openly bidirectional, i.e. translate in both ways between two language, as en exception from the general modern tendency to translate exclusively into one's own native language. This, however, requires a much greater degree of linguistic competence and writing skills than is simply sufficient to communicate. In addition to all
sorts of contracts, litigation, statutes, law reviews and other legal works which need translating, Łukasz Gos's translation practice is currently experience a growing focus on lawyer websites and marketing materials. This coincides with Łukasz Gos's past as an Internet journalist and the present condition of being a sort of maverick writer with a style that's now classical now witty but always sharp and confident, which suits that kind of task just right. In any setting which he enters for his clients, Łukasz Gos benefits from his particuarly wide range of current and past, active and fading, rising and recurring personal interests and a rich, unique composition of personal experience of several fields (from IT to philosophy, from religion to entertaiment), which has brought him where he currently is and is carrying him onward. Having coded since the ripe age of 13 and tinkered with hardware for the sheer fun of it, Łukasz Gos nonetheless still believes in a translation practice which focuses on actually translating rather than overemphasising the importance of technical tools, forget simple gadgetry. So forget also about the industry-standard diatribe of 'cutting edge technology', which is sometimes not even what it claims to be with, to begin with. In addition, while being a sensitive sort of person in general, Łukasz Gos also believes in doing a good job rather that stroking egos and delivering raw serotonin under the guise of client-centred service.
