Puerto Rico is a great country, with excellent temperatures and tropical climate.
It has one of the rainiest corners of the world. A strange and wonderful place at the same time, where more than 240 species of trees and a great variety of plants coexist. We are talking about El Yunque, a national park that is considered the only tropical rainforest in the United States National Forest System.

This forest is part of the Sierra de Luquillo. The legends of the Taíno Indians say that among their cloudy peaks lived Yuquiyú, the god of good, hence the name of the forest, which means sacred or white lands.

If you are planning to visit Puerto Rico, this place is one of the magical enclaves to visit.

It is curious that despite El Yunque being the smallest within the National Forest System, it is by far the most varied in terms of flora. There are tree species of all kinds, including 26 that can only be seen in the world here. For botany lovers it is a truly special place, with 88 species of rare trees and an interesting amalgamation of orchids (in total about 50 native species)

This 8 hour tour to Charco La Guitarra and Plazuela Waterfall is the perfect amount of adrenaline for any person looking to enjoy an outdoor activity with clear waters and beautiful scenery. These unique places are located in Orocovis, a mountain town in the center of Puerto Rico, although these mountains are quite a challenge, the view is fantastic. Fun fact: It is shaped like a guitar, hence its name: Charco el Guitarra. This swimming hole has some deep areas, and some people were jumping off the rock next to the waterfall; It was a jump of about 20 feet.
