I've started spearfishing at 7 years old in the Azores and I got my first underwater camera at 14 - way before GoPros were invented. While graduating in Cinema and Journalism, I've worked as the main editor for the biggest portuguese 'telco' brand MOCHE and in the surfing industry directing short documentaries and advertising films. Shortly after, I've funded Breathless Productions and released th

e documentary INHALE which was a huge crowdfunding success all over the world. This documentary was filmed while freediving at depths bellow 100 in the wildest places of the Azores. At the moment, my work consists of traveling around the world to dive in the craziest places but always returning to the Azores as a spearfishing guide to share what i've learnt during more than 10 years in the archipelago. I also work with Perrin James (Last Breath Films) as the main editor behind some of the best spearfishing videos in the world. Just published a new Youtube film with some of the best content I have been keeping for many years now. For ages I have been piling up footage and stories from all over the world, always waiting for the “right moment” or the “right project”. After lot’s of ideas I’ve come up to the very simple conclusion, which has always been my drive. Just do cool stories for the sake of it and then see what happens. This is the first video on my channel that actually represents a bit of my story. Where I came from, what drives me and also what are my goals in spearfishing but also in life (which is kind of the same). Check the link in my bio for the full piece! There you can find spearfishing and wildlife encounters from over 30 different countries compiling some of the best moments of my life at sea. From wild tuna bait balls, to alien looking sunfish or spearfishing for sea bass in the rough waters of Portugal, This is also a glimpse of my journey with footage from places like New Zealand, Azores, Mexico, Panama, Fiji, Indonesia, Madagascar and many more. The goal is to share with you guys many different stories about all of these places!
