YOUR (portuguese) BREAD IS WONDERFUL, and the variety is so much and all so good. The best I´ve had so far and I am in my 70´s!
This is a great feedback I have been getting from my guests. Brings tears of joy to my eyes how this simple thing, taken for granted in Portugal has such huge impact on the experience of those visiting. How immensely surprised I am, that Portuguese bread can create so many "tasteful" memories and conversations. Well, it’s not hard at all! Done every day fresh and immediately distributed everywhere! Even the one baked on wood oven! It’s so simple and beautiful, flower, water, a bit of salt and yeast. From wheat, corn, barley, rye… handmade not industrial, thats the big difference. So healthy, so crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Every region and villages have an identity one. And Portuguese bread has been considered the best one in the world in 2024 – I have a post on that here somewhere – so it’s proven, it’s a fact.
