Self-Guided / Faro to Lisbon Backpacking Tour

Ryan completed a selfguided tour from Faro to Lisbon over the course of 9 days, he completed a total of 790KM and 8500M climbing! Such an amazing journey for a solo traveller and it was such a pleasure to meet him! 🤩

Our unique 10 day supported gravel tour, perfected over the last 3 years by us here at Paradise Cycling, is the perfect combination of amazing gravel, historic towns, beautiful landscapes, good food and wine… all through the relatively unexplored areas of Spain and Portugal. Each day is interesting and different to the last, tracing the border between Spain and Portugal.

We cycled to the heart of the Serra do Caldeirão and for lunch, yoga with and enjoyed a fantastic dinner at at their farm to table restaurant.

OCTOBER SELF-GUIDED RECAP 🚴

This last month we’ve had a few back to back self-guided tours, each with their own stunning routes and unique experiences.

We had a group of three do an Across Algarve - 6 day Tour, starting in Faro and finishing in Sagres! Covering a total of 350KM & 6000M climbing 🏔️

A lovely couple and an amazing solo rider did the same self-guided tour, which coincided on the same exact days too! 🤩 They completed an Alentejo Bike-packing Tour, over 7 days, starting from Loulé and finishing in Alte, completing an amazing loop through the bottom half of the country: 707KM & 8500M Climbing

With a bespoke self-guided road tour from Porto to Sintra, along the Silver Coast, we ended the month of October 🌊 This group of 2 couples had a stunning ocean view the whole way to Lisbon and the rain did not stop them!

So very grateful for all of these people who chose us to make their selfguided dreams come true ☺️

These amazing ladies are cycling on road, over 6 days from Lisbon to the Algarve. Today was 100km to Setúbal. Tomorrow we have our longest day, 118km to Vila Nova de Milefontes 😍 🌊
