COIMBRA - E NÃO LISBOA - É A CAPITAL OFICIAL DE PORTUGAL?

Apesar de a corte se ter transferido de Coimbra para Lisboa em 1255, nunca foi assinado um documento que oficializasse a mudança da capital. Coimbra continua por isso a ser a capital oficial de Portugal.

Desde o nascimento do reino independente de Portugal que a cidade de Coimbra foi uma das mais importantes do recém-criado país, especialmente durante a reconquista após as invasões dos muçulmanos vindos do norte de África.

Apesar de Guimarães ser conhecida como o berço de Portugal, o Conde D. Henrique e D. Teresa, pais de D. Afonso Henriques, viveram em Coimbra. Foi ainda com o rei D. Afonso Henriques que Coimbra se tornou a capital do país, sendo durante décadas a principal cidade do país abaixo do rio Douro. Mas, à medida que a reconquista aos mouros avançava, Lisboa começou a ganhar cada vez mais importância e ameaçava o poderio conimbricense.

O estuário do Tejo era particularmente apelativo por servir de porta de entrada para o comércio, o que enriqueceu ainda mais a região. A corte acabou por começar a passar mais tempo em Lisboa, até que se mudou permanentemente durante o reinado de D. Afonso III em 1255.

No entanto, nunca foi assinado nenhum documento ou decreto oficial que estabelecesse a mudança de capital de Coimbra para Lisboa, até aos dias de hoje. Por esta razão, Coimbra continua a ser tecnicamente a capital portuguesa.

To all my clients,
I don't know if you notice but I started to work for myself having a beautiful eletric tuktuk.
With that I decided to give a step to the front and start my own company with a website and TripAdvisor so I can go even more professional with what I love.
