Take a trip to Aveiro the 'Venice of Portugal' only an hour from Porto with Flixbus or the national train. Wandering around was fascinating...take a walking tour and learn about the gorgeous Art Nouveau buildings, the salt industry that built Aveiro and of course how Ovos Moles, the bright yellow sweet encased in a wafer became famous. Highly recommend at least a night here and definitely a traditional Moliceiro boat ride.
