🇬🇧 A few weeks ago I guided @rosso.rossella , who came from Treviso, through the streets of Porto. Rossella is a very nice woman and a brilliant student who decided to travel to Portugal not only to get to know the country, its beauties and its history, but in the meantime to deepen her study of the Portuguese language which she already speaks excellently. In the video there is Rossella having fun painting the azulejos, a moment that I hope will remain among her best memories of Portugal and of our day. Thank you Rossella for choosing me as your guide!

🇬🇧 Fado is a Portuguese musical genre born in the heart of Lisbon, when the inhabitants began to sing about their daily lives, in an improvised way, with melancholic and passionate tones.
Fado singers, known as "fadistas", use deep, powerful voices to convey the emotion of the lyrics. And fado is not always synonymous with sadness and nostalgia now part of the past. Fado is also joy, passion, energy, sharing and conviviality. As the young Fadista demonstrates in the video with her powerful voice, accompanied by two equally young guitarists, singing "Uma casa portuguesa" (a Portuguese house) a song by Amália Rodrigues.

🇮🇹 Durante il nostro tour, abbiamo sostato più del solito tra i vari banconi del mercato perché Riccardino era troppo curioso di assaggiare qualcosa di tipico, e così ha scelto un riccio di mare fresco. È bello che abbia voluto assaggiare un frutto di mare così "misterioso" nell'aspetto e nel sapore 😆
Questo avviene perché nei nostri tour tutto il percorso lo si esplora, lo si vive e perché no, lo si assapora. Ci teniamo e per questo mettiamo tutto il nostro impegno affinché il tutto sia un'esperienza a misura di visitatore e non "una corsa a tempo con delle spiegazioni" come avviene nei "Free tour".

During our tour, we stopped more than usual among the various market stalls because Riccardino was too curious to taste something typical, and so he chose a fresh sea urchin. It's nice that I wanted to taste such "mysterious" seafood in appearance and flavor 😆
This happens because on our tours you explore the entire route, experience it and why not, savor it. We care and for this reason we put all our effort into ensuring that everything is a visitor-friendly experience and not "a timed race with explanations" as happens in the "Free tours".

The heart of fado is the story of profound human experiences, often linked to destiny, nostalgia, love, loneliness and pain.Fado singers, known as "fadistas", use deep, powerful voices to convey the emotion of the text. Accompanying music is generally played by Portuguese guitar and classical guitar, and sometimes the yearning sound of a wind instrument, such as the viola fado, can also be heard.
The atmosphere in which fado is performed is essential for its authentic interpretation. Traditionally, fado was performed in the so-called "fado houses" or "tasca", small night clubs where the public gathered to listen to the singers in an intimate and engaging atmosphere.
