VAGAR: our team, our story
The story of VAGAR Walking Tours starts in 2013, when Mélanie, after obtaining her PhD in History, decided to create a tour company based on her knowledge and passion about Alentejo.
Mélanie lived more than 20 years in Lisbon before that, as she arrived in Portugal when she was only a 2 year old baby! So, even if she is half-german, half-french, she is a 100% portuguese adopted :)
But life went on and Mélanie became a mom, and, even if she is a wonder woman, it was a tough job running VAGAR by herself. When she met Diane, a french girl working in horse tourism in Alentejo, and also pursuing a PhD of litterature, it was friendhip at first sight...
So Diane entered VAGAR’s adventure too... and it already has been almost two years now!
