We had a total black out in Portugal yesterday. No power, no cell phone service and no internet seevices in many cases.

It was caos everywhere and no communication with our partner DMC, guardian angels, or clients.

It promised to be a mess of a day as we had several food tours, tuktuks booked and even a dinner on top of the Arrabida bridge in Porto.

You would imagine that everything got cancelled, right? Well, no! Our guides, partners and team went above and beyond. With some unavoidable adjustments but everything took place successfully.

I personally want to send my big thanks to all involved in our tours and experiences that took place yesterday.

You have shown your professionalism, dedication and what great customer service is at Lazy Flavors.

We are announcing the opening of a venue for cooking classes and other food and wine events in Matosinhos. We will be open by appointment only and would love to host you! The name of the space is The Cooking Nook (.cooking.nook ) and it will also have a small shop selling traditional Portuguese products. Join us sometime for a cooking class with or without a visit to the wonderdul Matosinhos market or a visit to one of the fish cannery factories across the street!

Our cuisine and even our country have been ignored for decades, if not centuries, but it has recently gained notoriety in Europe and the Americas. We have made it our mission in the last 10 years of Lazy Flavors existence to give Portuguese cuisine and culture center stage introducing it to thousands of international clients so far. The fact that we cover the whole country, both continent and Azores islands, allows us to showcase the best of Portuguese ingredients and dishes to our guests and visitors and to work with the best chefs.
