Our cuisine and even our country have been ignored for decades, if not centuries, but it has recently gained notoriety in Europe and the Americas. We have made it our mission in the last 10 years of Lazy Flavors existence to give Portuguese cuisine and culture center stage introducing it to thousands of international clients so far. The fact that we cover the whole country, both continent and Azores islands, allows us to showcase the best of Portuguese ingredients and dishes to our guests and visitors and to work with the best chefs.

Do you know the history behind the typical Portuguese cobblestone?

In 1500, King Manoel I of Portugal received a rhinoceros as a gift from Afonso de Albuquerque. The rare animal caused chaos during the king’s birthday parade in Lisbon, spreading mud everywhere. To solve the problem, the king paved the streets with granite from Porto. 

After the devastating earthquake in 1755 in Lisbon, sidewalks as we know them today were built with black and white limestone in diagonally framed cubes. 

This art spread throughout Portugal, visible in many cities today in various shapes, colors, and sizes.

Join our sommelier on a trip through the land of Vinho Verde: Portugal's crisp and vibrant green wine! 🌿🍇 This tour is all about exploring the more artisanal side of Vinho Verde. We will taste natural wines produced in this area that will make you re-evaluate what you know about these wines and this region. Vinho Verde is maybe Portugal’s best-known wine outside of its sweet Ports and
unctuous Madeiras. A staple at summer picnics, it is often seen as a never-ending well of cheap, fresh, lively wines - almost always white - that provide the perfect
amount of acid, body, and refreshment to be ubiquitous wines for hot weather. But, did you know that some of the best white wine in Portugal is also made in the
