Since 1990 that I’m working on the stone business, in a Company that was composed by two factories and e
ight stone-quarries in a total amount of 220 persons. Unfortunately the Company closed in 2008 and I enjoy all connections I earned during that time as Commercial & Production Manager, being also Purchase & Technical responsible, to start my work as Independent Agent for the Portuguese Stones, that I know so well. My knowledge and skills (also draw AutoCAD) allow me to be also hired as Technical & Project Development Consultant in a Portuguese Company – BARMAT,S.A. Joining both activities at same time I had opportunity to know much better some markets and some growing production capacity countries like China and India. Since the simple visit to the quarries to chose the best raw materials until the installation of materials on the most difficult and important projects, my job is mainly to find the best suppliers for the requested stones, receiving the shop drawings and production details and make the interface with the producer, helping finding the right prices and terms and after following the production, controlling quality, package, sizes and making final report and approving for loading. I’m able to offer the services of several Portuguese and Spanish Companies for different kinds of needs, since raw blocks, slabs and standard size tiles until the most complicated cut-to-size job, including wall-claddings, stair-steps, vanity/kitchen tops, columns, etc…. As you know the “global world” give us everyday even more information and connections but is still the quality of man-power that makes the difference…
Specially directed to export, for many years that I’m trying excellent experiences (business and personal) with clients all over the world, specially in countries like U.S.A., Australia, Spain, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Brasil, France, UK, among others. Some of the most well know Portuguese materials such as ROSA AURORA, ROSA PORTUGAL, BRECCIA TAVIRA, MOCCA CRÈME, MOLEANOS, PORTO BEIGE, GASCOGNE BLUE, GASCOGNE BEIGE, ESTREMOZ WHITE, LAGOS BLUE and others , are my daily work, so I’ll be glad to put at your availability all my knowledge and resources. Moving for so many years on this business also I can offer help with ceramic tiles producers in Portugal from several Companies where I have good friends, being the interface between them and your Company. In resume, my work is to be “your guy” in Portugal, being available for all help needed, doing also inspections work if you have already your own suppliers, giving you some extra security.
