O dia 31 de março é o primeiro dia da Páscoa. Em São Brás de Alportel, realiza-se nessa altura a procissão da Aleluia. Trata-se da mais bela procissão de todo o país, na qual os senhores da aldeia se superam com os mais belos arranjos florais. Cantando, dão uma volta pela aldeia num trilho de fantásticos arranjos florais. As flores e as ervas são colhidas nos montes por voluntários e dispostas em padrões nas ruas. Uma vez passado o cortejo, a quente São Brás cheira a ervas e flores frescas. Venha ver!

31 maart is het eerste paasdag. In São Brás de Alportel vindt dan de Aleluja processie plaats. Dit is de mooiste processie in heel Portugal waarin de heren van het dorp elkaar aftroeven met de meeste prachtige bloemstukken. Ze lopen zingend een ronde door het dorp over een spoor van fantastische bloemmotieven. De bloemen en kruiden zijn in de heuvels geplukt door vrijwilligers en in patronen neergelegd op straat. Als de parade is gepasseerd, ruikt heet São Brás naar verse kruiden en bloemen. Kom kijken!

March 31 is the first day of Easter. In São Brás de Alportel, this is when the Aleluja procession takes place. This is the most beautiful procession in all of Portugal in which the lords of the village outdo each other with the most beautiful floral arrangements. They walk a lap through the village singing along a trail of fantastic floral motifs. The flowers and herbs are picked in the hills by volunteers and laid out in patterns on the streets. When the parade has passed, hot São Brás smells of fresh herbs and flowers. Come and see!

Kameleon

Rondom de vakantie appartementen van Quinta dos Cochiochos kan je de kameleon regelmatig tegenkomen in het zomerseizoen. Ze voelen zich thuis tussen het vele groen. Bovendien is het er rustig, middenin de natuur en doordat op de farm ook geen bestrijdingsmiddelen worden gebruikt, is het een veilige plek om kinderen groot te brengen.
