Tavira Escape and holiday Retreat for Nature lovers. If you're looking for a quiet hideaway to hang, recharge and enjoy nature at its best, this is it. The house is set among almond, carob and olive trees in front of the Ria Formosa national park where the regional train runs through the Algarve, from Lagos to Vila Real St. Ideal for upto
4 nature lovers who enjoy rural surroundings, but close enough to all amenities. Less than 2.5 kms from the town centre of Tavira, the capital of the Mediterranean diet in Portugal and increasingly a gastronomic hub. Siesta in the afternoon is recommended. Sunset stretches to 21 - 22h. House - Upper level - 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, terrace overlooking Ria Formosa nature reserve. Great for hanging in hammock, early morning breakfast in high Summer, reading or for a siesta. Ground level - Large sunken lounge area/dining room with Salamandra fireplace. Outdoor dining and chill lounge area on terrace. Clothes washing machine. Plus outside shower available. Compact open, practically equipped American kitchen. CD/Radio music system. All windows and doors have netting to keep insects out. Strictly no smoking house. Vegans and vegetarians most welcome. Outside open parking by house. Walk or cycle through the Nature reserve, passed the Salinas (salt pans with amazing birdlife) down to the lagoon where you can swim and enjoy the beach. Alternatively walk to town where there is lots to see and happening. In town you can catch ferry to Tavira island with 12 kms of pristine beaches. Lots to explore in the area and region. The house is 25kms from Faro international airport, 5 km to Cabanas, 5kms to Sta Luzia, Sto Estevão 7 km e Sta Catarina do Bispo 10 km, 23 km to Spain's first town Ayamonte, 50 km to Huelva, 1h25 minute drive to Sevilla. During Summer go early or late to beach to avoid confusion and extreme heat. If you want to socialize and catch sun then ignore the previous suggestion. Whether you are wanting to recharge, escape from busyness, or want party time this Spring, Summer or Autumn Tavira has all this and more. We’ll happily share our favourite places and knowledge to our guests of the area for you to make the best of your stay. According to your likes and interests. 4 OF TAVIRA'S BEACHES DISTINGUISHED AGAIN AS BEACHES OF GOLD BY QUERCUS - National association for the conservation of Nature.
The purpose of this award is to highlight the beaches that, for five consecutive years (2016-2020), have bathing water of excellent quality.
“Praias com qualidade de ouro 2021”
As quatro praias do concelho de Tavira (Barril, Cabanas, Ilha de Tavira e Terra Estreita) foram distinguidas, uma vez mais, com a classificação de “praias com qualidade de ouro” pela Quercus – Associação Nacional de Conservação da Natureza.
Tavira foi reconhecida, juntamente, com 391 praias, das quais 329 são costeiras, 51 interiores e 11 de transição.
A atribuição deste galardão tem como objetivo realçar as praias que, ao longo de cinco anos consecutivos (2016-2020), apresentam água balnear de excelente qualidade.
A avaliação, efetuada pela Quercus, resulta das análises realizadas de acordo com a diretiva relativa às águas balneares.
À semelhança do ano passado, a Quercus reforça a necessidade de serem cumpridas, por parte dos banhistas, as regras sanitárias definidas pela Direção-Geral de Saúde, aquando da frequência das zonas balneares.
Neste contexto, solicita-se que sejam evitados os aglomerados de pessoas nos acessos às praias e no areal.
Apela-se, ainda, ao cumprimento cívico de quem frequentar as praias, nomeadamente, no que respeita ao correto descarte de máscaras descartáveis, as quais devem ser colocadas nos caixotes do lixo e nunca abandonadas no meio natural.
