A Semana dos Baleeiros decorreu de dia 19 a 25 de agosto nas Lajes do Pico. Uma festa verdadeiramente emblemática pelas suas regatas, chamarritas, filarmónicas e muito mais.
Atualmente, as tradicionais embarcações baleeiras são utilizadas nestas competições. Existem categorias de remo, vela e perícia. Uma tradição que se vive com grande paixão ⛵🔥

The Dolphinfish were hiding under the turtle, knowing how much they are the False Killer Whale`s favourite snack. And then the Turtle tried to hide under the boat 😁
False Killerwhales all day! In the afternoon they were resting after hunting all morning. What an incredibly lucky day!!

Orcas Killer Whales Pico Island Azores 25.04.24
Today we were lucky enough to have this unreal scenario with Killer Whales on sight with the mighty Pico Mountain in the background. Specifically two big males, 5 Females and a Juvenile.
We also spotted Common, Striped and Bottlenose Dolphins, and Sperm whales, making the trip even more magical.
