حيث يدفع نفسه إليود كيبتشوج لتحقيق وقت أقل من ساعتين و ينهي السباق خلال ٢:٠١:٠٩
Eluid Kipchoge set a new record of 2:01:09 in Berlin to much fanfare, setting a new world record at 37 years old and seemed on the verge of "breaking two" for the first half of the race. In the women's race Tigist Assefa is now the 3rd fastest woman runner at 2:15:37 after only her second marathon!
