Peleș Castle is a Neo-Renaissance snd Gothic-Revival castle in the Royal Domain of Sinaia in the Carpathian Mountains.
It was built for King Carol I of Romania between 1873 and 1914 on a medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia.
It belongs to the Romanian Royal Family.
The castle was declared a museum in 1953.
It houses the Peleș National Museum and is occasionally used for public royal ceremonies.
