Romania countryside offers unique experiences such as harvesting onions and so many other vegetables. This is how we spent our weekend,in a day trip in Giurgiu, near Bucharest.

In January, we started shy, but with big plans for 2020 and our cooking classes.

Now, we are re-defining our business strategy, to make sure we all stay healthy and happy. It`s not an easy process or period. Still, we appreciate life and what it brings to us.

How do you feel these days ?

For us, the last 2 months came with a a mix of feelings : helplessness, frustration and appreciation of each day.

They are normal feelings for a unmatched situation. I am glad we let them in, to make us stronger and more comfortable with the unknown.

We are moving forward and start to adapt our business model to the new world. We will be busy and share our progress with you.

Meanwhile, take care of yourself and live each day to its fullest, with bad and good feelings.

Good morning,

Let`s start the day by telling you a secret : in 1924 M.H. Maxy painted a portrait of the avant-garde poet Tristan Tzara. This one disappeared for over 50 years.

Until recently, when a curator from MNaR realized that the portrait has been hidden under our very eyes. It was there, in the collections of The National Museum of Art of Romania, under another portrait of the same poet, painted by the same Maxy after almost 40 years.

Using X-rays, MNaR found out they host 2 artworks on the same canva.

Now, you can visit the exhibition Tristan Tzara. Both the portrait of Tristan Tzara and the images of the painting made in raking and fluorescent light, as well as X-rays are well displayed.

I can tell you, it is really cool 🤩🤩

P.S. : Tomorrow, 4th of March the visit is free of charge. Actually, every first Wednesday of each month you can visit MNaR free of charge.

On the 1st March we celebrate Martisor day in Romania.

What is Martisor?

🌸 a talisman, with red and white string, given to men and women (depending on the region). It is believed that the wearer will be strong and healthy for the year to come. Usually, you wear it pinned to your clothes, close to the heart.

🌸 represents friendship, love, appreciation and respect

🌸 it is also a symbol of the coming spring

The snowdrop flower is also offered today, being considered as well a symbol of spring in Romania.

Happy day today 🥳🤩

We celebrate 144 years since the birth of the Romanian famous sculptor Constantin Brancusi.

If you are in Bucharest today, let`s celebrate it together. The National Museum of Art of Romania (MNAR) offers free access to visitors and also organizes three guided tours in the Brancusi Hall – at 14:00, 16:00 and 19:30.

Moreover, at 19:00, the museum will host a high-tech projection show where we can watch holograms of the sculptor and his famous works. 😍😍
