🌿𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 "𝐃𝐫. 𝐈𝐨𝐚𝐧 𝐕𝐥𝐚𝐝" 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐱 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐚 𝐈𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐚.

🌳Over 1400 species of Romanian and exotic plants make this park a special attraction, only a few kilometers away from the urban area. The Dendrological Park was named the "landscape wonder of Transylvania" due to the idyllic atmosphere, given by the vibration of nature. Visitors come here to spend time outdoors, to ride the bicycle or they can barbecue in the picnic area next the park.

🚲The route in the park can be easily covered on foot or by bicycle, on the bicycle laned, the duration of the route being approximately one hour.

📌Saturday, May 18, Alba Iulia celebrates the 20th edition of the event a long night in the museum

Palace of the Princes Cultural Center participates in this year's edition of the Night of the Museums through a series of shows, concerts and workshops organized within the Palace of the Princes of Transylvania Museum and the Principia Museum. The two institutions will offer free access both inside the museum and to the events especially organized for this occasion.

🕐Between 18.00 and 02.00 h, visitors will be able to enjoy historical reenactment shows, medieval and Renaissance dances, concerts, ancient workshops, gladiator fights, and even a cannon fire.

The series of events organized by Alba Iulia City Hall will be opened by the changing of the guard show, supported by Garda Cetatii, at 6:00 p.m., followed by the AIBD Brass & Drums band, which will parade, starting at 6:30 p.m., from the III Gate of the Alba Carolina Fortress, up to the courtyard of the Princes Palace.

Visitors will be greeted at Principia Museum by the Centurion of the 13th Legion Gemina and gladiators, at the Palace of the Princes of Transylvania Museum, Michael the Brave will appear, together with a significant number of soldiers, in a moment presented by the historian Andrei Pogăciaș. Mihai Viteazul's costume will be the original one, worn by actor Amza Pellea in the Romanian historical film 𝑀𝑖ℎ𝑎𝑖 𝑉𝑖𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑧𝑢𝑙, directed in 1971 by Sergiu Nicolaescu.

The Apulum Guard and the Citadel Guard open the tourist season in Alba Iulia! Starting with 1st of May, you cam wideness again the historical reenactment shows in the largest fortress in Romania. The drums will be heard inside the Citadel and the horses' hooves will strike the stone again.

The Guard of the Citadel is ready to offer the public, tourists and Albaiulians, one of the magnetic moments of every weekend this year as well.

On Saturdays and Sundays, at 12 o'clock sharp, the Guard of the Citadel will once again make the usual rounds, from Gate III to Gate IV, in a ritual that has already become a symbol for Alba Iulia. The first "outing" of the Citadel Guard this year, with its full arsenal, horses, uniforms, drums, rifles and flags, will take place on May 1 itself.
𝐀𝐯𝐞, 𝐀𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦!

The battle salute of the "Roman Guard" - the 13th Legion of Gemina from Apulum, of the gladiators of Ludus Apulensis, of the Dacian warriors of the band of Apoulon's Wolves, but also the Magna Nemesis dances will be heard and seen, in turn, in the Citadel Alba Carolina this summer.

The weekly shows will take place in the area of the Fourth Gate of the Citadel, and the first show is scheduled for May 1, at 6:00 p.m. Everything will culminate with the 11th edition of the Apulum Roman Festival, a registered trademark of the Municipality of Alba Iulia and one of the most important events of this kind in Europe. The festival is scheduled this year between August 15-18.
The complete program of all the events of this tourist season in Alba Iulia will be published, as it is updated, on www.turism.apulum.ro, on the official channels of the town hall and of the Alba Iulia Palace of Princes Cultural Center.
