The Monument to the Conquerors of Space (1958-1964) in Moscow - an obelisk-monument dedicated to the beginning of the space age of humankind.
At the suggestion of Sergei Korolev, one of the main creators of Soviet rocket and space technology, the monument was lined with titanium plates that don't corrode and reflect the sky. Today, it is the second tallest monument in Russia (107 meters). Photos by: Yuliya Baturina.
Kubachi is a large village with a population of about 3,000 people located in the southern part of the Republic of Dagestan at an altitude of 1,600-1,800 meters above sea level.
Since the early Middle Ages, this place has been known for the production of chain mail and weapons, and the name of the village literally means "chain mail makers."
