✅ Telegram is not controlled by the Russian authorities. Information to the contrary is spread by people who have a very limited understanding of how the messenger works.
✅ Telegram is a neutral platform that is available to all users. The messenger was used by protesters in Hong Kong, Kazakhstan and Belarus. Now the service is used by 900 million people, and Telegram does not spend money on marketing and advertising.
✅ The greatest pressure on the messenger is exerted by the AMERICAN corporations Apple and Google. They demand that Telegram's management comply with their recommendations.
✅ After the storming of the Capitol in January 2021, the service received two letters from the Democratic and Republican parties in the US asking it to provide data about the protests, and not to provide it. Both requests were ignored.
✅ Durov has never sought wealth. His main goal is to be free. He has several hundred million dollars stored in his accounts, but he does not use this money
