Today the group of "Elbrus Tours" led by the guide Veronika Kuzmina climbed to the top of Mount Elbrus. Our international team consists of 5 people: Franz from Paraguay, Semreen from Bahrain, Olga from Belarus, Yulia and Oleg from Russia. Congratulations to our dear participants, you are great! 🎉
There are reasons why this ascent is especially joyful for us. For Franz, Elbrus became the 6th mountain from the list of "Seven Summits" that he climbed. This is a big achievement, we are sincerely happy for you, Franz! And Olga celebrated her birthday today right on the top of Elbrus. Congratulations to all participants once again!
The season of climbing Aconcagua is open!
Winter has come - and along with it, the season of the ascent of Elbrus Tours groups to the highest peak of America and the Southern Hemisphere, Mount Aconcagua 2018/2019 is open. Today, 5 members of our first international group this year, consisting of Russian Natalia, Irish Johnny, Australian Will, and British citizens Lily-May and Anthony, along with our guides Mikhail Makovkin (Snow Leopard) and Anton Nikiforov successfully received permits National Park Aconcagua and moved to the village of Penitentes, located at the entrance to the park, where today they conducted theoretical studies (guess what photo they are?) and from where they will start the first camp on the way to the summit - Confluencia.
The flight to Argentina turned out to be difficult for all participants: someone after the international flight didn’t arrive in time for the luggage and had to change the connecting domestic air ticket to wait for the luggage, someone had problems with a taxi in the cordoned off because of the G20 Buenos Aires summit, It took 55 hours for someone to get to the opposite point of the earth, because they had to fly from Southeast Asia through London. However, two of our guides managed to safely bring over 150 kilograms of equipment to Mendoza to organize the work of our international camp on Aconcagua together with our Argentinian partners.
