A trip to the top of Mount Kalisimbi is one of the keys to a must-visit tourist destination in Rwanda when you visit the Volcanoes Park. With a height of about 4507 meters, the Kalisimbi Volcano is the eighth largest volcano in the Virunga region and the 5th largest in Africa. It borders the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda on the West African coast. The Karisimbi fire (0.24 Ma to 0.010 Ma) ignited, indicating that the volcano had not lasted for a long time. The name "Kimbi" comes from the word "Amasimbi" in Kinyarwanda which means "old skin", which means a cloud that looks like snow always on the top of this mountain. It is with Mikeno in the north, Bisoke in the east, and Nyiragongo in the west, on the other side of the valley. Mountains Located in the volcanic park, it is known as the gorilla mountain.
