Happy International Zebra Day!

Did you know that Zebras are primarily grazers and can subsist on lower-quality vegetation! They help the local ecosystem by grazing on dry, hardened grass that is too tough for other species to digest. Join us for one of our journeys that includes a visit to Akagera or other Savannah parks of East Africa to witness yourself how these unique striped animals balance the ecosystem.

It is a short rain season now and some days can be extreme shower. However it is not always on the disadvantage side, some cool moments can be captured. See some of my picture which I was lucky to get during some of the rainy mornings or right after the rain has just stopped.

It’s all about finding the positive aspect in every situation. HAVE A FRUITFUL/WONDERFUL WEEK everyone.

WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK

Akagera National Park lies at the eastern part of Rwanda along the border with Tanzania. Here are some of the reasons why you do not have to miss a visit to this beautiful Eden of wildlife.

1. Akagera is accessible within a 2.5hrs drive from Kigali and the road is very smooth all the way to the entrance gate.

2. Akagera is not only a home to the big five but also to other mammals that roam its plains, swamps and woodland forests such as zebras, giraffes, antelopes to name a few.

3. Akagera has lodges/accommodation that offers options from luxury to a simple camping experience.

4. Akagera offers a boat safari that gives you a closer view to wildlife especially aquatic wildlife and birds.

5. Akagera Park does collaborate with communities around it to ensure a sustainable and responsible tourism and conservation that benefits both locals and wildlife.

Comment down below for more reasons why one should not miss a visit to this beautiful park.

One of the Waterbuck photos taken randomly as rain started pouring in Akagera National Park. We did spot them during our day game drive.

Waterbucks live in herds of 6-30 individuals with one male who defends the territory.

As their name suggests, they have a close connection with water. Waterbuck always live near a body of water and use it to escape from a range of predators, which include lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and African hunting dogs.

They have an oily secretion that covers their coat and doesn’t smell pleasant. This helps them to find a mate and makes their coat waterproof.

For experiential tours do not hesitate to contact or DM us.

WORLD ELEPHANT DAY

Elephants have been my favorite animals even way before starting my career as a safari guide. As a little boy, I used to enjoy drawing elephants images, my wish was to see them with my eyes, the little I know that one day I will be photographing them in their natural habitat. I hope you enjoy few of these pictures from my collection.
