أقدم موانئ هو ميناء العقير بمنطقة الأحساء. كان الميناء ذات أهمية كبيرة بصفته الميناء الرئيسي الذي يصل البضائع إلى نجد، و عبر العقير كانت البهارات والهيل والحرير والأقمشة تأتي من الهند والصين وإيران والعراق وعدن وحضرموت.

The oldest seaport in is AlUqair seaport in . The port was very important as it was linking to the Arabian Gulf. Goods like Spices, Cardamon and Silk came from India, China, Iran, Iraq, Aden and Hadramout to thru Uqair seaport.

valley or Wadi Lajab in fact canyon, located in Al-Reith Governorate at region, is a miracle of imagination of landscape. Where the valley formed as a result of a rare rock incision length of 15 km, and a height of 800 meters in some areas. It also features a garden called (Hanging Garden) due to the 200-meter height of the garden.

But the most incredible feature of Wadi Lajab is the fact that it delivers fresh water more regularly than any other wadi in . The stream that runs at the bottom of the canyon creates mid-sized waterfalls and the numerous ponds are deep enough to host fish... and travelers who want to enjoy a bath!
