Please find below the required qualifications for a GPS technician:
Installer of Tracking Devices:
who is knowledgeable in all vehicle electronics, specifically an experienced Auto Electrician. The tracking devices are typically installed in all sorts of private and company owned vehicles ranging from personal cars to trucks, pick-ups, heavy equipment, generators, trailers, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drive to customer sites to do the installation or trouble shooting
• Maintain records of daily activities and update stock information
• Develop installation and testing procedures
• Test the devices with our software solution
• Load new configurations on the devices using procedures that we have developed
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Auto Electrical device installation such as GPS device, Auto entertainment systems
• Solid Knowledge of electronics for vehicles and motorized assets (generators, freezers, etc…)
• Good grasp of English speaking and writing
• Versatile, hands-on, proactive, organized, and team player
• Ability to use a PC to configure and test the GPS device during installation
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Efficient with a good skills on developing good procedures
