ARRIVING IN THE PHILIPPINES

New arrival and quarantine procedures are place for international travelers arriving in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Laoag, Subic and Davao.

Payment of the fees for RT-PCR tests, as well as the cost of hotel accommodation, shall be shouldered by the traveler; except that the cost for OFWs shall be shouldered by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (for land-based OFWs) and by MARINA or the local manning agency (for sea-based OFWs).

DEPARTING FROM THE PHILIPPINES

For all international travelers: Please check the most updated travel regulations in the government website of your destination country, as well as your country of departure. These governmental regulations may change frequently and may have an impact on the status of your flight or your acceptance for boarding. You must also accomplish the Passenger Profile and Health Declaration (PPHD) form online via https://bit.ly/PALIntPPHD as early as 5 days prior to your flight departure. Exempted from accomplishing the online PPHD form are travelers bound for Australia, all of whom must accomplish the paper form upon check-in at the airport. Passengers bound for United States, Singapore and Canada are required to accomplish the PPHD form upon airport check-in in addition to the online registration.


TRAVELING WITHIN THE PHILIPPINES

For all domestic travelers: Please check with the local government offices of both your origin point and your final destination on travel requirements, such as mandated documents or health certifications. These requirements differ from province to province, and are revised and updated constantly in line with the anti-COVID-19 arrangements of each locality.

MANILA (NAIA) TERMINAL ASSIGNMENTS

- PAL international flights from Manila depart from:

NAIA Terminal 1, except for flights to USA and Guam.

NAIA Terminal 2 for flights bound for Guam, Honolulu, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles



- PAL international arrivals will use the following terminals:

NAIA Terminal 1 for flights arriving from Dubai, Riyadh, Dammam and Doha

NAIA Terminal 2 for all other international flights.



- PAL domestic flights depart from and arrive at NAIA Terminal 2.


TAKE YOUR COVID TEST AT PAL'S TESTING FACILITIES

Passengers departing on PAL international and domestic flights from Manila may undergo RT-PCR and Antigen testing at:



Philippine Airlines Learning Center (PLC) located at 540 Padre Faura cor. Adriatico St. Ermita, Manila (drive-thru or walk-in testing from 8AM to 8PM daily); or

PAL Gate 3 located at Andrews Avenue, Pasay City (in-car or walk-in service 24 hours a day, seven days a week).



These PAL testing facilities are in partnership with Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory. The tests cost PHP 2,599 for RT-PCR tests with results released within 24 hours, and PHP 700 for Antigen tests with results released in 30 minutes. Payment options are: cash (PHP currency only), card (debit/credit), GCash, PayPal, WeChatPay, or Alipay. Passengers may also pre-pay for their COVID-19 tests online.

Upon entrance, please present your ID, plane ticket, payment confirmation (if prepaid), and QR code indicating that you have successfully registered the Passenger Profile and Health Declaration Form online.

GUIDELINES FOR AFFECTED PASSENGERS:

If you need to take another RT-PCR test for your new flight schedule, you may undergo RT-PCR testing at PAL's own testing facility at PAL Learning Center or PAL Gate 3 (see above information on " TAKE YOUR RT-PCR TEST AT PAL'S TESTING FACILITIES").


FLYING SAFELY IN THE ‘NEW NORMAL’
PAL is strictly implementing Fly Safe “new normal” practices to protect our passengers, in compliance with international health and safety protocols.



Please bring your own face masks and face shields and wear them at all times – at the airport and throughout your flight.


We encourage you to check-in online and arrive early at the airport to allocate extra time for new safety procedures– at least 3 hours prior to departure for domestic flights; and 4 hours prior to departure for international flights.



Our cabin crew will be wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for your protection on board the flight.


All PAL aircraft are equipped with high-technology systems that continuously infuse fresh air across the cabin as well as HEPA filters that trap viruses, bacteria and other contaminants with 99.99% efficiency. The air flow system creates a cleaner environment that is safer than most enclosed public spaces and comparable to hospital operating rooms.

TRAZE CONTACT TRACING APP REQUIREMENT

All passengers flying to, from, or within the Philippines must download and register through Traze Contact Tracing, a unified and automated contact tracing app, before proceeding to the airport.



Passengers who do not have mobile phones or any other mobile gadgets may go to the Traze Helpdesk, located near the terminal entrance in all Philippine airports and at the arrival area of international airports, for registration assistance and QR code printing. Passengers traveling to the Philippines from overseas countries are advised to download the app before they embark on their trip.

MORE COUNTRIES COVERED BY TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS FOR PH-BOUND TRAVEL

The Philippine Government has now added India, Portugal, Finland, Norway, Jordan, Brazil and Austria to their list of countries covered by travel restrictions.

As a result, Philippine Airlines will be unable to accept, on our flights to the Philippines, foreign passengers who originate from the above countries, effective 12:01AM January 8 (Philippine Time) until January 15, 2021.

AIrlines shall also not be able to accept - on flights to the Philippines - foreign passengers who had traveled to any of the above countries within 14 days preceding their planned arrival in the Philippines (and if their planned arrival is from January 8 to 15).

On the other hand, Filipino citizens originating from or who had traveled to any of the specified countries within 14 days prior to their scheduled arrival in the Philippines, and who are arriving within the period of January 8 to 15, shall be accepted on PAL flights to the Philippines.

The above restrictions are mandated by the latest Resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF) restricting travel into the Philippines from specified countries, as a protection measure against the new variant of the SARS-COV 2 Virus.

The countries now covered by passenger restrictions on flights to the Philippines are:

For all arrivals in the Philippines starting January 11, 2021:

RT-PCR TESTING

All arriving passengers will be subjected to the mandatory RT-PCR testing-on-arrival.

For OFWs, RT-PCR testing will by carried out by the government One Stop Shop, free of charge. For non-OFWs and eligible non-Filipinos, RT-PCR testing will be carried out by the PAL One Stop Shop for a fee of PHP 4,000. (Discounts for Sr.Citizens and PWDs apply)

14-DAY STRINGENT QUARANTINE

For OFWs, please proceed to OWWA Desk. You will be assigned a quarantine facility designated by the Philippine government, free of charge.

For non-OFWs and eligible non-Filipinos, please proceed to the DOT desk. You will be assigned a quarantine facility designated by the Philippine government, subject to availability of accommodation.

In cases where hotels designated by the Philippine government are at full capacity, travelers must prepare to shoulder their accommodation in one of the hotels suitable for the 14-day stringent quarantine.

PAL shall not be liable for the unavailability of government-provided hotel accommodation or for any and all hotel accommodation costs incurred or to be incurred by travelers in compliance with the 14-day mandatory quarantine.

If you do not wish to stay at your assigned hotel, or there is no available government-designated facility upon arrival, you must choose your own accredited hotel suitable for stringent quarantine and at your own expense, including your transportation from the airport to the hotel. You may also book your 14-day quarantine stay in advance. For the list of accredited hotels suitable for stringent quarantine, click https://bit.ly/MNLHotels-SQF. After arranging your hotel and transportation, fill out the Affidavit of Undertaking and ensure that this has been signed or stamped by the hotel verifier.

Note: Hotels suitable for stringent quarantine are designated facilities to those travelers coming from high-risk areas or vessels as identified by WHO, and those who exhibit flu-like symptoms as identified by the health officer at the airport. These are different from hotels suitable only for mandatory quarantine.

Unaccompanied Minors:

From January 8 to 15, all unaccompanied minor Filipino citizens - from any of the 27 countries covered by the above travel restrictions - shall not be allowed to enter the Philippines, unless they are part of the government's repatriation program. In the latter case, repatriated minors shall be turned over to the OWWA house parent, who will coordinate with the DSWD to ensure the minor's safety and observance of health protocols.

However, unaccompanied minor Filipino citizens from countries other than those covered by the new restrictions shall be allowed to enter the Philippines.

Diplomats and dignitaries are exempted from the new travel restrictions, provided they comply with arrival and quarantine protocols.

Options for Passengers:

Passengers who cannot take their flight to the Philippines because of these temporary bans may: rebook their flights with rebooking service fees waived, convert their ticket to a travel voucher, or avail of a refund.

Passengers who are still eligible to enter the country but choose not to push through with their flight may voluntarily change their bookings subject to the rules of their ticket and following the "No-Worry Flight Fare Brand".
