Great Initiative Travel West - Solomon Islands !

Looking forward to work closely with the new leadership of TWSI!

On Wednesday, The Western Province Tourism Association (WPTA) convened for the first time since 2019, and we’re delighted to announce the new Committee:

President: Pana Paza
Vice-President: Hellen Tau
Treasurer: Jenno Hughes
Secretary: Jordie Maike

Presided over by the Minister for Tourism, Hon Ron Ghemu, the 30 tourism operators present strongly supported the incoming president, who used his opening speech to outline his vision for the future of tourism in the province. The message centred around inclusion, partnerships, and proactive growth:

“We call on every tourism operator around Western Province to join in as we work together in improving and supporting our Tourism Sector here in the West, and in our country, Solomon Islands, as a whole.”

So glad to host the 1st "Logging Forum" in Vella la Vella Island, Western Province here at Pusiju Homestay - 40 participants for 3 days.

We have a community that can accommodate up to 50 participants, conservation site visit, cultural performances, contemporary music entertainments, snorkeling, hiking in the conservation site (river, caves, taboo site), village tour, etc.
