GANESH VISARJAN, the immersion of the idol, celebrated in Mumbai, India with great pomp and gaiety. The "formlessness"(mud/clay) giving way to the "form" (Ganesh idol) and then returning again towards formlessness. Each year Ganesha arrives to teach us that forms change but the Supreme Truth remains the same. Body perishes but our soul (energy) residing in it remains constant. Bliss is achieved when we realize this. So at this Visarjan, we join hands and pray Lord Ganesha, to take with HIM all the sorrow and evil in humanity and save our Mother Earth from destruction.
