So honoured that Finnish magazine Kuukausiliite by Helsingin Sanomat made 13 pages and the cover of the Greta Thunberg story. An extra big hand for my reporter colleague Petja Pelli who is so good with people making this stories come to life.

Hej vänner!
Idag har vi deltagit på vår kollega Jörgen Johanssons begravning.
Familj, vänner och kollegor var där och fyllde upp Hässleholms Kyrka upp på bara balkongerna på andra våning. Prästen inledde med några ord om Jörgen och ”Med fötterna på jorden” och en liknelse med Moses och den brinnande busken om att finna det personligt heliga. I slutet när Jörgens egen låt Empty baseball park och hans ljuva röst och tunga gitarr-riff ekade i kyrkbänkarna och bandmedlemmarna i Loserville tog en gemensam sup vid kistan då hände det som jag tror Jörgen själv skulle älska, hela kyrkan fullkomligt exloderade i applåder när han bars ut.
Jörgen Johanssons inställning som fotograf att fånga verkligheten exakt så som den är, med kärlek för medmänniskan i fokus och som människa att våga leva livet som vi fått - det livet är nu över men vill för alltid hoppas att vi bär med oss av Jörgens kärlek när vi möter andra människor i vår vardag.

Photographer Jörgen Johansson is well knowned for with heart and passion getting close to people he document with his camera. When he was diagnosed with cancer he changed focus to himself and started to photograph the daily life as a patient. Listen to Jörgens words behind the strong pictures at Nyhetsmorgon Channel 4.

Fotograf Jörgen Johansson dokumenterade andra med cancer utan att veta att han själv hade en hjärntumör. Men när han fick beskedet började han dokumentera sin egen resa från dag 1. I våras vann årets bildreportage på Årets bild.

New exhibition
Vernissage today January 19 at 12 at Gallery FOTOPARKEN Gustavsberg, Stockholm.

I AM A CHILD
The exhibition shows the living conditions to which children are exposed around the world. Niclas Hammarström, the well-known photographer who has received awards for his pictures from crisis regions has put together an exhibition combining the work of four different photographers, Anders Hansson, Andreas Bardell, Lisa Mattisson and Åsa Sjöström. Exposure to violence, war, abuse and situations where they feel extreme fear for themselves and their families are realities for far too many children today.

The exhibition is open from 19 January to 22 April 2019.

At orphanages, children often need long and stable relationships, but a two week visit by volunteers may result in the opposite.
In a school on Zanzibar, to feel more included, volunteers were in charge of the English curriculum. This resulted in a new curriculum every two weeks, denying the children a long term education plan.
The ongoing photography based research project Voluntourism aims to address these and more issues.

Warmest congratulations to Kontinent photographer Anna Tärnhuvud!! She was just awarded the Picture of the Year 2018 in Sweden (Årets Bild) for her work on the terror attack that occurred in Stockholm in April 2017.
In addition, she is the first woman photographer to win this prize since the creation of the award, which should be both celebrated and question the gender ethics of our profession.
Our congratulations also go to our great colleagues Niclas Hammarström (2nd prize News Abroad), Anders Hansson (3rd prize News Abroad), and Ola Torkelsson (3rd prize Portrait Series)!
