Visste ni att det här i våra trakter finns en helt fantastisk trädgård, som då och då öppnar upp för allmänheten? Sellebo Ideträdgård är väl värt ett besök oavsett på vilken nivå ens eget intresse för odling ser ut. Fika, spana in vad som finns till försäljning och kika runt bland alla vinklar och vrår som göms i denna otroliga trädgård. För den som gillar att fotografera finns här mycket att titta på genom linsen.

Majvor och Lage är inga odlare som stirrar sig blinda på vilka plantor som är gjorda för vilka zoner, utan de experimenterar sig fram för att själva ta reda på vad som faktiskt går att ha här uppe hos oss. Och har konstaterat att det finns betydligt mer än man tror!

Det finns bra väg och parkering i området, så det är inget problem att ta sig dit även för tyngre fordon. Öppettiderna varierar och annonseras ibland med kort varsel, så håll koll på deras facebooksida Sellebo Ideträdgård för uppdaterad info (redan imorgon är nästa tillfälle 😄 ). Gratis entré för barn 🌞

Today is Sámi National Day 💫

February 6th is the date when the first Sámi congress was held in 1917 in Trondheim, Norway. The congress was the first time that Norwegian and Swedish Sámi came together across national borders to work on finding solutions to common problems.

In Árviesjávrrie we have forest Sámi, which is unique and a minority within the Sami communities 🌼

Now it is time for Lucia celebrations 💫 Already today you can visit the church in at 18 for this. Tomorrow it is at 18 in the church in Arvidsjaur.

Tomorrow our local school transport program will also dress up their tractors and other machines and cruise through Arvidsjaur. This is a very unique and appreciated initiative from our local students 🌼 They will go two times, one in daylight and one after dark, in the afternoon (see time tables for routes and approx timeline). 💫🎄

This is how it sounded by the lake yesterday. So powerful! This happens when cold temperatures makes the water rapidly freeze, creating tension in the ice and make it crack.

The sounds can be like an explosion, vibrating in the ground like in this video. But the sounds, that often go on for hours, can also be very smooth and beautiful. That is why this phenomenon is also called that the ice is singing. This often occur during early winter and at end of winter each year. It is a truly unique experience by Mother Nature 🌼
