Over the years, I’ve developed an appreciation for golf course architecture and design as I have had the opportunity to compete on some of the most unique and memorable golf courses in the world. My international golf experience has taken me from the seaside links of the British Isles to the deserts of the Middle East and the tropical wetlands of Florida. gn is easy to talk about but difficult to execute. My design team and I are dedicated to designing fun and enjoyable golf courses. We take a “less is more” approach to design and utilize the existing terrain and natural environment as much as possible. My favorite courses to play offer great variety in shot making. The bold risk/reward strategy of Augusta and TPC Sawgrass separate great shots from the average, providing plenty of thrills and heroic carries for the professional and amateur golfer. Alternatively, the classic links-land courses of Scotland provide great variety in playing conditions with firm turf grass and wind. Links golf demands a totally different set of shots from players with its own unique strategic elements. A tremendous range of shots can be played by golfers on all of these courses. This variety is essential to designing a course that golfers want to play again and again. My design philosophy is to create unique and memorable golf courses around the world that fit the natural environment and will be enjoyed by golfers for decades to come.
