Or maybe you are the more adventurous person and want to join me on a multi-day expedition into the Västerbotten mountains. For something I discovered in all my years in Västerbotten wonderful nature is that it has something hidden for each of us. Its diversity is impressive and I myself get taken over again by all the beauty, wild and harmonious available around us here. In the county of Västerbotten, you will find the entire 267 nature reserves. Some of only a few acres and others on several thousand acres. For example Kalkstenstjärnens nature reserve of 6.1 hectares in northern Ursviken, Skelleftea or Vindelfjällen nature reserve in Storuman and Sorsele which is Northern Europe's largest reserve of immense 555,000 hectares. In addition to these reserves the county offers so incredibly many more great places that more people should have the privilege to discover. Vilken dag!! Strålande sol trots att prognosen sa annat. Vi fick stöta upp flera flockar m dalripa som vi dock inte kunde komma in på skjuthåll innan de upptäckte oss igen. På vägen tillbaka på eftermiddagen med solen i ryggen fick vi se 3 fjällripor vid trädgränsen som båda mina gäster fick chans att skjuta på. Dock var avståndet för långt så det blev inga ripor med hem. Men vad gör väl det när fjällen bjuder på sitt bästa väder och riporna bjuder upp till dans!😃

Ripjakt i Hemavan i veckan. Började morgonen med -27gr i dalgången, men det blev snabbt varmare ju högre man kom. Snön var djup, även på kalfjället. Så det var skönt med snöskor på. Smög på en ripa som satt på toppen av en fjällbjörk. Men den började bli orolig så jag fick lägga an tidigare än vad som hade varit önskat. Och bommade gjorde jag.... Senare på förmiddagen bestämde jag mig för att gå ner från kalfjället närmare trädgränsen. Hörde ripornas ”knorrande” men såg dom inte. Smög över en snödreva på en brant precis vid kanjonens högsta punkt, direkt efter lyfter 2 stora grupper av ripor med 10-12st i varje. En vacker syn även om den förkunnar att jakten på den sidan av kanjonen är slt :-) En helt fantastisk dag med solsken och klarblå himmel. Fjällen och jakten när den är som bäst, dagar man inte behöver fälla något för att ändå älska jakten.
