❤ A little message to my beloved customers! You may have noticed that it is still hot! Lots of work to do but not much Umpth so be patient with me please! ❤ Summer vacation does not exsist in my world but taking it easy does! We are always open for business while Sweden tends to shut down ~ we tend to take it easy especially now just too much going on.However if you are missing your saddle please get in touch so I know who to prioritise! 😊 ❤ Love and Light Tim ~ in Flyinge 💜

❤ Just a qu**ky to my saddle customers~ with so many saddles all of the time now all small strap repairs etc will not be taken in we just do not have time now ~ maybe towards the winter if I am still here 😊 💜

❤ Hi can anyone out there help me out with an Amerigo stirrup bar~ Anyone?! Left side on horse and long dressage bar ....maybe you have a broken saddle lying around?

18/05/2018

❤ Just so potential customers are aware 😊 next week will be a humdinger for me with all sorts of appointments to keep~ so it will be a slow motion kinda thing in the saddlery so please bare with me! ❤ You can of course sms me or Messenger with requests but I will not be easy to find untill the evenings and Friday when I should be back at the bench as usual 💜

💜 Good Morning~
Just a quick word here about pricing of saddle reflocking~
100% new wool reflocking including eventual adjustments if needed and the guarantee top filling when required.....price 2200kr plus the 12% moms. If customers require our attention faster than normal (5 days) then an added 25% will be added to the cost. Have a nice day and dont leave it too late it will cost more! 😊
An after thought~ Please make sure that saddles are relatively clean! 😊

💜▪So here we are again!
▪ Materials☆ 100% Wool washed and carded with long fibres. 6 kilos here usually buy 12 kilos. Cost 180 kr plus transport and moms.

04/03/2018

💜 ▪ So tomorrow I will continue with pictures of the tools and the wool ☆ Untill tomorrow then.

04/03/2018

Chapter 2 ☆ Reflocking/ Omstoppning of riding saddles ☆
▪Wool should be used with long fibres....not short.
▪Collect the correct tools....I will be making photographs of mine soon. The correct material with the correct tools is half the answer however the tools are difficult to buy...good ones at least....so make them. They are easy to make and worth gold. A set of stuffing rods I have 6 using 4 of them regularly. A wooden masher....thats it.A good wood turner can make a masher for you from Oak but the best are Lignum Vitae. Heavy and smooth.

❤ What do I do? Chapter one ☆
▪A saddler ☆ Equestrian saddler.
Traditional London apprenticeship of 4 years with a Master.....just making saddles.
▪So I know how a saddle is made or should be made....I know the techniques I know what lays beneath....or should lay beneath stuff you the customer cannot see....and I know why it looks like that.
▪Nowadays my working week is comprised of reflocking the saddles that customers bring to me with various problems regarding the fit on the horses back.
▪No more making saddles ....too much capital involved and I do everything by hand so too costly.
▪Refocking saddles is where the fast and reasonable money is.....if you can do it well the customers will soon find you as there are too many cowboys in this branch. How do you know if you have done a good job? Easy go and watch horses working with saddle before you touch it and after you have worked on it! You will soon learn to notice the magic! From both horse and rider. Listen watch and learn if you are doing it right you will see it with your own eyes. Then continue to do it!
▪So if you are going to do it then do it properly and professionally while the customer list grows with a smile on your face! 😊
▪99% of all saddles are flocked/ stopped with synthetic material or foam rubber nowadays. Ok for a while then it becomes hard and uneven causing back problems or indeed creating undue pressure on the saddle tree which finds its way to the horse causing further problems. A lot of moisture finds its way into the material used causing problems....synthetics do not dry out naturally then they become hard and uneven....why I use wool ☆ one reason☆ it dries out naturally. If not corrected and put right the tree will give up and break. Beware! Control always that the tree is 100% ok or you will break your horse!!
▪I always use 100% washed and carded wool from Sweden....long fibers and the kind of wool to be spinned into garn. It has always been used traditionaly and is best for the horses back and the feel of the horse for the rider through the saddle to the horses muscles.
▪To be continued ☆☆☆☆☆☆

❤ Something about this coming year that feels good....although the bumpy start and still shadowed with a lot of sadness I am optimistic once again....which I normally am but its been tough looking on the bright side of life recently. But we are there! 😊 ❤ Another interesting day in the saddlery some work done but slowly needing to get back into the pace of working full out. Signs are up at least 2 of them one more to go! Lots of small details done making a world of difference to the feel when you walk in....it feels right it feels professional and it should because now my Mästare Certifcate is hanging proudly on the wall! Still more details to fix and some to still find but that is half the joy with a fresh start. Remember you get out what you put in.....eventually ☆☆☆☆ 💜

16/02/2018

❤ So a good day today got the feel of the workshop and its all good. Just need to get some signs up over the weekend so folk can find me! No longer a bakery but a saddlery! One sign from the road can be seen from both directions to and from Kungsgården ☆ then one on the far wall as you come through the passage. Can be seen clear as can be. No problems finding me just follow the smell of leather once fresh bread 😊

16/02/2018

❤ Its early I am up and buzzing for once! The new workshop is just about ready a few details to fix and its done....except for all the small changes as they appear while actually working and feeling the atmosphere and the practicallity of decisions.Only one way to find out those and that is to work! Coffee first and then we are off! 😊 These past six months have been difficult for me perhaps more so than when I was sick but now we are here and its time to live again doing what I do best with love and hopefully a smile on my face 😊 ❤☆

❤ Yes we are in the new space now with a new start! Still some stuff to move over but it can wait untill the weekend. Now its time to do the jigsaw puzzle to create a comforting efficient and beautiful working enviroment......💙 ☆💙☆💙

17/01/2018

New workshop is being worked on ...painting and electrics should be completed this weekend then all systems go go go! 💚 I know that I have not been around for a while so sorry about that ....a little chaotic I guess but lots of work still and playing catch up after that rotten cold! Keep warm ❤

29/12/2017

❤ So I have one month to get stuff together including my head! The workshop move is nothing but a state of added stress for me right now Particularly with this stubborn cold but on the mend.....slowly but surely. Slowly and surely regarding the workshop also....the only way I know how. The new workshop is not 100% ready yet so I cannot move much stuff at the moment ....just small stuff and there is lots of it! 😊 Once the walls have been repainted then the fun begins. Mean while I have 5 saddles to fix up 😊

18/11/2017

❤ The workshop at the moment seems so very far away for me but there are a couple of best friends that always appear to enjoy themselves in each others company there.....❤ I am afraid to say I really wish that I had their enthusiasm!! 😊 Love birds united! ❤ Some days just do nothing for me right now but Moltas continues to push me in the correct and the only direction....forwards as he has always done. The work gets done without enthusiasm I am sorry to say....not me doing the work but someone I dont really recognize right now. I am therefore looking forward to a new year with renewed energy 2017 can just fade away. I dont like the way that sounds because our time together is precious ❤ but my sorrow and sadness just need the time it takes for me to find the strength and say to myself...ok Tim get your finger out lets do this!! 😊 And I must be ready by the end of Feb when I relocate to a new workshop. So that is my goal! 2-0 to me! 😊 Then I will bounce with a smile and with love for my work once again! ❤
