This summer our Glamping tent will have a multipurpose function and will be available on demand as additional facility to our main vacation home.

Located on the edge of the peninsula with lake views it can be used as a dinner room, meditation room, reading room or even sleeping room for those who are curious to try it. You can get even closer to the nature ! We are excited to introduce the tent to our coming guests.

It’s still under development this summer and the full concept will take some time to complete but we are already so excited to share images of our vision. May is a “quality control “ month before the summer season starts- it can be really warm and we test outdoors dinner on terrace with amazing south east view on “Henvålen Nature Park “ . Cheese fondue 🫕 in the evening sun … simple things are more than you can imagine.

Our first seasonal visitors have arrived - beautiful birds cranes have spotted an open water area just nearby the house . Yes - the whole lake is still covered by ice 🧊.

Reindeers are our frequent guests starting from April and through the summer and autumn. While the ice still covers the lake they can come to us from any direction .

Helags .part 3. Ascent hiking to the top of mount Helags was listed even in National Geographic magazine as top 10 ascent hikes in the world! We have hiked to Helags directly from the guest house, -it’s a longer 2-3 days trip though but with lots of amazing views. You can drive by car closer to the mount - from a parking place you will have around 15 km to the summit. Great challenge for a day long speed hiking or you can stay at STF mountain station - tenting close to it or even overnight in their facilities. Several of our guests did that.

Helags . part 2. Definition of Helags mountain is - the highest Swedish mountain south of the polar circle. And it has Sweden’s most southern glacier with the same name Helags .Some scientists believe that the glacier is disappearing, but fortunately winters are rich with snow and every year the new thick layer of snow covers the glacier, prolonging its life .

summer vacation offer (weeks 31-32 ; week 34 )

Haven’t you been on summer vacation this year yet ? And do you want to avoid the destructive heat in the south? Then we have a good offer :

Due to a sudden cancellation from our returning guests we have a great opportunity for nordic nature lovers and those who are keen to try real “off grid “ simpleliving in one of the most beautiful areas in Sweden and Scandinavia.

Active vacation:

Have you ever heard about famous mount Helags which is listed in National Geographic’s “10 best in the world “ list ? This is one of the options for an active explorer.

Hiking , fishing, trail running, sightseeing- all is here in the area. If you are lucky you can find (and eat) healthy and organic cloudberries .

Mindful nature experiences:

just take a canoe and get fully connected with nature through a “ canoe meditation “ ; practice yoga onsite, in the forest or in a open tundra area nearby.
End the active day with an authentic sauna combined with swimming in the lake just 40 meters from the sauna.

Hiking 🥾 is one of the popular outdoor activities you can do in our area. You can hit the trail directly from the cabin or take a short drives and explore the area hiking to the numerous natural and historic attractions.

When your guests bring their couch 🛋 , you know they will return again . We are so happy to meet our guests again and again and returning guests is the best feedback we can get 💚 And we love the idea of giving unused furniture a new life and reducing the waste of natural resources.
