Bestie dug up news articles of us taking long walkies as teenagers 🙋🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️

The year was 1996, we walked through mangroves, sewers, old empty neighborhoods pending development, Pasir Ris with its mini canyons of dirt before the flats took over, we walked the entire stretch of TPE before it was opened to vehicles, past terminal 3 when it was still reclaimed land.

I think I reached home, crashed and slept for a week after 🤪 Good times

Singapore, a city state with no natural resources, ~5.9 million in population, saturated within an area of 284 sq miles/736 sq km - literally takes us 45 minutes to drive across the island - receiving 20.8 billion tourist dollars.

And for two days, I had an absolute blast bringing my "parents" around to explore the green lushness of our City in a Garden. ☺️

As they shared photos and stories of themselves, their children and grandchildren, my heart felt incredibly full. This pair of love birds are marriage goals personified.

I love that my tours always end with new friendships forged in laughter and discovery. What a truly great experience that they have given me ❤️

The giggles and heart felt sharings between old friends as they discovered and explored old and new Singapore with me. Almost felt that I waa interrupting something so special, really privileged to be part of their day yesterday.
