Christina Jensen was born in Denmark and grew up in a small town close to Copenhagen. After a well-established career in Banking, Christina relocated to Singapore with her husband and two daughters in 2006. This opportunity gave her the chance to take the leap and shift gears to indulge in her creative pursuits of art, painting and photography. Her creative style reflects her Scandinavian heritage
, spiced up by the colours, shapes and style – inspirations drawn from her extensive travels across South East Asia. Starting with a blank canvas, Christina plays with shapes and forms on a square base with a colour palate of white, grey, neutrals and splashes of colours. With White as her favourite ‘colour’ and an integral starting point for her works, there is a distinct sense of calm, serenity and simplicity in her works - a vein of Scandinavian design sensibilities that run through her portfolio of creations.
“I have a plan before I start, but most times I am surprised by the outcome and I love the surprise. I enjoy the spontaneity of the moment to create something completely different each time,” says Christina of her creative process. All Christina’s artworks are marked with her signature logo, a Chinese character 白 (bai) meaning White in Mandarin with a beautiful finishing touch of a Swarovski crystal.
