China Southern Airlines to Operate over 456,000 Flights in the Winter Season
China Southern Airlines is set to implement its flight schedule for winter season, which will commence from October 27, 2024, until March 29, 2025.
During the winter season, China Southern plans to operate over 456,000 flights (1 round trip counted as 2 flights), with an average of nearly 3,000 daily flights. The number of destinations will increase to 244, including 163 domestic, 81 international and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan ones.
In terms of domestic flights, China Southern plans to operate over 700 routes, covering over 160 cities. There will be more flights between Guangzhou and Jieyang, Yiwu, Yangzhou, Kashgar, as well as between Beijing Daxing and Xiamen, Daqing, Baishan.
To serve the increasing popularity of the ice and snow leisure tourism in recent years, China Southern will focus on adding key routes from Shanghai, Xi'an, Wuhan, Kunming to Harbin. The carrier’s Harbin routes will total 1,200 flights per week. Additionally, other popular winter routes from Guangzhou and Beijing Daxing to Changbai Mountains and Altay will reach 160 flights per week.
As for international and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan flights, China Southern plans to operate over 200 routes, covering countries and regions in Europe, North America, Australasia, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and Africa.
There will be new services from Guangzhou to Perth, Adelaide, Christchurch, Nagoya, as well as from Beijing Daxing to Sydney, Melbourne, etc..
To meet passengers’ growing international travel needs, China Southern will also increase frequencies on routes from Guangzhou to Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland.
From October 27 on, to enhance efficiency and optimize passengers’ travel experience via China Southern's hub at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, check-in counters for international and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan flights will be relocated to Island M from Island P.
