Today, join us on a quick tour of the old town of Dubrovnik with Dani, our RandomDots Virtual Travel Guide in Croatia.

Dubrovnik is a city in south Croatia facing the Adriatic Sea. It is famous for its distinct old town, which is encircled by high stone walls build in the 16th century.

The baroque St. Blaise Church, Renaissance Sponza Palace, and Gothic Rector's Palace, which is now a history museum, are among the well-preserved structures. The pedestrianized Stradun (or Placa) is flanked with stores and restaurants and is paved with limestone.

But who are we kidding, the real attraction is the 'Walk of Shame' staircase from everyone's favourite show, The Game of Thrones.

An international Google team based in Ireland, the USA, and Singapore wanted to connect by exploring each other's home cities.

We started out with a theatrical livestream exploration of Singapore.

During the experience we explored:

- The origins of independence 🇸🇬
- Street art 🎨
- Hawker culture (and how to order the super caffeinated Kopi) ☕️
- Meeting local street food sellers 🍲
- Inside the most elaborate social housing project 🏡

🥳 A Big Three-O!

We had the honour (and pressure 😓) of creating a fun, surprising, and memorable 30th birthday last weekend.

With Phase 2 in full effect, activities and experiences are still, shall we say, limited. Nevertheless, the gang of 4 best friends had a day full of games, music, delicious food, and a drink (or two).

It really is touching to play a small part of special moments in people's life.

Season Two was back with a blast!

Alobgside 56 Dotters, we travelled to the majestic city of Tel Aviv, Israel.

Chef Tim guided Dotters to cook an amazing dinner, and the flat bread we heard, was a great hit!
Talia, a local Israeli chef who once lived in Singapore, shared her life in the city and her passion for food.

Tippling Club created a unique 'Clock Tower' cocktail, a nod to the famous clock tower that sits in Jaffa.

We were also honoured to have the support of the Israeli Embassy in Singapore. Deputy Ambassador, Didi was incredibly kind to embrace this experience and help to really create an authentic night.

Tim became enthused with Israeli cuisine after visiting in 2016. This Saturday he will guide you through an three course Israeli inspired menu.

Everything will be portioned out and prepared for you to create Tel Aviv-inspired delights.

Despite leaving her old line of work behind, Anna couldn't resist the urge to “lawyer up”.

To be held accountable and give ourselves motivation, we (Anna mainly 🙄), decided to draft a contract with the goal of 100 RandomDots experience by April 30th 2020 after we became stuck in Indonesia after Covid hit.

This agreement motivated us to think outside the box and create Experiences.

Through a bit of luck and amazing support from both Dotters and vendors... we made it happen!

Here are a few snippets of clauses and obligations 😂 (namely the reduction in John Mayer listening time).

I can't help but feel the clauses were not drafted in my favor...

WE'RE THROWING A WEREWOLF GAME PARTY FOR YOU!

What is the Werewolf Game?
Werewolf is a game where each player is secretly assigned an identity of a werewolf or villager, and the objective of the game is for a vengeful group of villagers to figure out who among them is a werewolf and lock them away(before team werewolves kill all the villagers...)

This is a game about strategy and communication. No prior experience or knowledge of the game is needed to enjoy it!

Ok...but what is a werewolf game party?
RandomDots will be explaining and hosting this Werewolf game via Zoom. Be prepared for live sound effects, marching bands and fireworks (just kidding, we wish).

How much is it?
FREE!

What time is it?
Saturday 23 May @ 8.30 p.m.

But WHY?
There is a special reason for this celebration, but we'll reveal that later :)

Who is invited?
All our Dotters, all our vendors that we've previously worked with, and all others that are interested! Feel free to invite friends and come for some role playing and fun!

Dress code?
As glamorous as possible, we will be looking for the best dressed participant!

✈ With a bit of turbulence, our flight landed safely back in Singapore last Saturday.

During their short time in Taipei, Dotters enjoyed a festive The Salted Plum Taiwanese dinner, Benns Ethicoa a speckled salted egg bon bons and Oriental Elixir delicious boba tea cocktails. This was followed by a live night market tour with our local tour guide in Taipei and a trivia competition on Taiwan. Now we all know that boba 🍈🍈 ACTUALLY means big breasted woman in Chinese.

Special shoutout to Time To Travel who was our guest in the last show. She is a travel enthusiast and professional travel planner for those of you looking for someone to help plan your next getaway after all this madness is over (maybe even to Taipei for real). Our next and final event for the first season of the Experience will be this Sunday. Stay tuned for more details!

Week Two Experience, Done!

50 Dotters across Singapore drank, ate, and created their way through Saturday evening.

Without our team of superheroes for 2.0, the evening would not have happened. A huge thank you to the local businesses and friends that made last night possible, in no particular order:

1. 👨‍🔧 Issyam from Operation Dagger, for creating two awesome, unique cocktails, and shooting a how-to video for you to get creative at home;

2. 👨‍🚀👨‍🚀 Nigel & Ramon, the heroes of Park Bench Deli, the guys put in a real shift to create and deliver the food last night;

3. 👩‍🍳 Joanna, the creative veggie genius at Afterglow, she gracefully stepped in to create something special for our vegan and vegetarian guests;

4. 🎤🎸🥁 The talented artists at Insync for coming up with a music jam just for you. They are truly passionate about spreading joy through music and we hope you felt that last night.

The first RandomDots Home Adventure evening could not have happened without the help from our team of superheroes.

People who took part last night may recognise a few of the faces, but the work from those behind the scenes was just as vital. The concept was ideated a little after 4 p.m. last Monday, and within 5 days this dream team rolled up their sleeves and worked tirelessly to create this project.

In no particular order, a huge thank you to:

👨‍🍳 from Dreamshop, for agreeing to collaborate with us last minute and cooking up a wonderful and innovative meal for Dotters;

👨‍🚀 , head of logistics and beverage operations, for helping source each ingredient and material for the cocktail boxes, and putting them together piece by piece into the adventure package you received last night;

🧙‍♂️ from OE, for being the initial inspiration for the cocktail boxes and providing us with invaluable advice while sick in bed;

🦸‍♂️ , F&B manager at Yotel, for recording the cocktail videos for Dotters after work and helping deliver the adventure packages;

👨‍🎨 , an amazing friend and master Indian game guru, for teaching Dotters Indian card games while being hungover, currently on lockdown in India

🧔🏽 , master Persian card game guru and beard grower, currently on lockdown in Boston
