Eco Building Material Centre serves as a one stop hub where wide ranging building products, materials and components are displayed physically. These products have received green and eco-labelling or with innovative technologies that contribute positively to the environment and human health. The Centre will be opened to the public, targeting broad based visitors from students to professionals such
as manufacturers, suppliers, architects, contractors and designers. Visitors to the Centre will be able to see, feel and touch the myriad materials whilst at the same time experience the green ambience created by the different technologies all in one place. Targeted activities will be organised to promote greater awareness of green products, green manufacturing process and environmentally sustainability practices, like green purchasing, carbon footprinting and life cycle assessment just to name a few. The activities in the pipeline include study tour by industry practitioners, students at various levels including tertiary, workshops and deminars. EBMC is backed by a team of multi-disciplined specialists well versed in green materials and products. They include Chemist, Environmental Engineer, Architect, Carbon Footprint Professional, Mechanical Engineer and Materials Engineer who will provide technical support to visitors on any of items on display.
