(Late post) The PPAS - Professional Photographers Association Singapore AGM on 30 Nov and the (re) launching of the PPAS's book on the Three Postwar Generations of Men & Women behind the camera. I had also a 4 pages of my photography history written in this book 😃.I was in the first committee member since its inauguration in 1993, and now I am beck in the committee after almost a decade of absence. I hope more young photographers would join our association to feel the benefit of the professional photographer network and get to know other professional photographers. Did I mention the 1 million insurance coverage that members of PPAS can tap on to. Our president is also a good coffee barrister. ☕️😆

My biggest highlights for October 2024 were to be able to meet Ashley Dawn Lu and her husband Fredrik Nilsson and to photograph their wedding. Ashley is the daughter of Jimmy Lu and Bel Chua, with whom I had photographed their wedding 34 yearss ago. 😃 Being given the opportunity to photograph this wonderful couple definitely makes me want to return back to doing more wedding photography, as people and weddings are still one of my favourite genres of work.
(Watch out for more photographs of this lovely couple as they had kindly allowed me to show off the photographs that I had taken of them)

Wishing all my family and friends Zhong Qiu Jie Kuai Le 中秋节快乐 .
The Mid-autumn Festival (or Zhong Qiu Jie in Mandarin), also known as the Mooncake Festival, falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. It is called the Mid-autumn Festival because the 15th day is the middle of a month, and the eighth lunar month is in the middle of autumn.
It has become more common to give mooncakes as gifts than to eat them during the festival. The custom of offering sacrifices to the moon has been replaced by celebrating the festival with family and friends. Moon-viewing parties is one way to enjoy the occasion, with family and friends sitting in gardens lit by paper lanterns, sipping tea, nibbling on mooncakes.

The REVENON SPECIAL 135 f2.8 mounted on a M42 to Z helicoid adapter on Nikon Zfc, and because of the helicoid adapter, I was able to get closer to my subject

This lens should be a keeper for me. The pop and smooth silky bokeh from the REVENON SPECIAL 135mm f2.8 lens in M42 mount. Love the soft and smooth rendering of this lens. All 2 images shot with the lens mounted on a helicoid adapter on Nikon Zfc.
