Well, that's true, but that is not all! 😆, the time taken is not just because of the hardest climb, but it's because of all the many photo taken stops done along the way. 😂😂

✨ South Peak, Mount Kinabalu ✨

One of the most iconic spots for hikers—if it looks familiar, that's because it's the same peak featured on the back of Malaysia's RM100 note! 💸 Every climber makes a point to capture this view, and honestly, pictures don’t do it justice. The feeling of standing here, surrounded by the vastness of the sky and the towering granite, is beyond words. 🌄

If you’ve been thinking about climbing Mount Kinabalu, take this as a sign to go for it! The challenge is real, but the reward? Absolutely worth every step. 🏔️

Our hike at Bukit Batu Lebah began with a meet and greet with these cheerful lovely young explorers. What an energetic bunch!

We took our chance to visit the 15-century Mirjan fort during our India expedition.

Apparently, this fort played a huge role for defence and Black Gold trade (pepper) under the rule of "The Pepper Queen" Rani Chennabhairadevi who build and ruled the place for 54 years.

As we reached the fort, instead of going into the fort, we decided to explore the area surrounding the outer walls of the fort.

The terrain started smooth and easy, but it got rougher with overgrown vegetations and uneven ground as we went deeper further. But temptation to explore kept us going till we realized the fort was indeed huge and we were not even halfway around its parameter.

Due to shortage of time as we still have a few more hours of road trip to mid Karnataka, we decided to end the exploration and get into the more touristy section of the fort, which is inside the inner wall.

It was indeed a beautiful fort, and we were glad that we decided to detour to the fort along our journey. We wish we had more time to explore, and of course do some photoshoot wearing our medieval hats on! 👑🤭😆

It's our tradition every year to do a hike during Singapore National Day. And this year, for a change, we are here in India hiking in this ancient kingdom, Hampi!

The Kinabalu team looking all positive at our pre-hike dinner at Kinabalu Park Lodge. The hike starts tomorrow.

We are just waiting for one more member of the group that will be arriving tomorrow morning and join the group at the park office.

We walked on that ridge approximately an hour before reaching the highest point of the mountain. What seemed like a flat table top from afar wasn't really that flat 😅😅 the were still ups and downs and we still had to crawl up "walls" and slide down "gravel" between the start of the table top to the actual peak...

On mountains... There is always more than meets the eye!

Had my cup of coffee blissfully watching the clouds fading away as the sun gets higher. And slowly the other hills and mountains started showing up...

Locating Gunung Panti... It just can never go wrong. With its prominence and its unique shape, easily the table top of Johor.

Not just great for hiking, it's also full of amazing biodiversity, especially a gem of a place for birds sighting.

And next to it, the Gunung Muntahak is a crazy mountain with a beautiful river trek (if you do a trans trail).

Would be lovely to get back to these mountains again...
