🎉🌿 What a week for Slotrips! 🌟

Slotrips just turned 10! Ten amazing years of creating unforgettable hiking and biking adventures across Slovenia. But the excitement doesn’t stop there. This week, we were honored to receive the Slovenia Green Sustainability Award - a recognition of our continuous efforts to champion green travel and protect Slovenia’s natural wonders. 💚✨

And today, we took that commitment a step further. With our incredible office team and guides, we joined a meaningful reforestation project in the Karst region, planting trees to help heal the land scarred by the devastating 2022 fire. 🌱🌳 Giving back to nature feels just as rewarding as exploring it!

Here’s to a decade of adventure, sustainability, and community—and to the bright, green future we’re growing together. Thank you for being part of our journey. 💚

Our Story

Our story started as a hobby back in 2007, when Miha (the founder) came up with an idea to design Slotrips.si – an “interactive on-line guide for active holidays in Slovenia”. Soon after travellers from around the world began asking for organized travel to Slovenia. Since we travelled, hiked and biked extensively around Slovenia (and continue to do so), and had already discovered countless hidden corners, stunning natural sights, peaceful spots with jaw-dropping views and the best local places to stay and eat, we wanted to share our knowledge. Therefore we started taking visitors on guided hiking & biking trips, showed them our “backyard” and the culinary treasures of our grandmothers; thus turning our hobby into our job and Slotrips into a travel company. And we have been loving it ever since!

It was somehow a natural and unplanned growth which brought us to where we are today, a small team of outdoor enthusiasts powering one of the leading active travel agencies in Slovenia.
