Did you know that in Bratislava we have one of the most valuable Gothic buildings in Central Europe? This is the Chapel of St. John the Evangelist. It belongs to the peaks of Gothic architecture in Slovakia and you can admire the so-called white Gothic since the stained glass windows are made of white and not colored glass. 😊
Vedeli ste, že v Bratislave máme jednu z najhodnotnejších gotických stavieb v strednej Európe? Jedná sa o Kaplnku sv. Jána Evanjelistu. Patrí k vrcholom gotickej architektúry na Slovensku a môžete v nej obdivovať tzv. bielu gotiku, kedze vitráže okien sú z bieleho a nie farebného skla. 😊

Last weekend, the Battle of Bratislava cultural-historical festival took place in Janka Kráľ Park in Bratislava.
The main part of his program was the reconstruction of a military conflict from the period of the first half of the 17th century, set in the environment of historical Hungary. 😊
Minulý víkend sa v bratislavskom Sade Janka Kráľa uskutočnil kultúrno-historický festival Bitka o Bratislavu.
Hlavnou časťou jeho programu bola rekonštrukcia vojenského konfliktu z obdobia prvej polovice 17. storočia, zasadená do prostredia historického Uhorska. 😊

Have you ever heard of the architectural style of rondocubism? It is an architectural trend characteristic of Czech-Slovak architecture in the period after the First World War. We have this nice newly renovated example in Bratislava. 😊
Počuli ste niekedy o architektonickom štyle rondokubizmus. Je to architektonický smer príznačný pre česko-slovenskú architektúru v období po prvej svetovej vojne. V Bratislave máme tento pekný novozrekonštruovaný príklad. 😊

The 29th edition of the Bratislava Illustration Biennale will take place on October 4, 2023 - December 3, 2023. 275 illustrators from 36 countries with 2072 illustrations from 355 books. These are the numbers for this year's international illustration celebration. Bratislava comes alive with them every other year. It attracts children's book fans not only from Slovakia but from all over the world. It won't be any different this fall either. 😊
29. ročník Bienále ilustrácií Bratislava sa uskutoční v dňoch 4. októbra 2023 - 3. decembra 2023. 275 ilustrátorov a ilustrátoriek z 36 krajín s 2072 ilustráciami z 355 kníh. To sú čísla tohtoročnej medzinárodnej oslavy ilustrácií. Bratislava nimi ožíva každý druhý rok. Láka fanúšikov detskej knihy nielen zo Slovenska, ale z celého sveta. Inak tomu nebude ani túto jeseň. 😊
