New coffee place close to the historical part of the city with good coffee @ fair price... less than 1 eur and served by the owner. You find it easily, just in front of the beautiful 100+ y o school and 1 minute from the famous Blue church.
Bratislava former city walls were reopened to public this year. Enjoy this uncrowded place with mote than 700 years of history. You can go to/from the Castle through this intriguing site.

Huge fields of r**e seed close to Svaty Peter (St. Peter) which is used to make an oil. Bees like these tiny flowers to produce a honey with creamy texture and very specific taste.
One of the rare wooden mills on The Little Danube. This river creates the biggest inland in Europe - called Žitný ostrov or Grain Island, being important grain growing area and a source of quality groundwater. The Little Danube splits from The Danube in Bratislava, runs about 130 km more or less around The Danube, then flows into Váh- the biggest Slovak river which joins The Danube close to the city Komárno (divided city between Slovakia and Hungary with medieval military fortress in shape of star). The Little Danube meandering formed beautiful romantic places rich in biodiversity, suitable for bike and canoe lovers. @ Dunajský Klátov
This desert in Slovakia is a “dessert” for visitors-there is almost no one there! The singularity of this place also lies in abundance of scattered pines and along with continental weather has created during the millions of years a unique kingdom of animals and vegetation. Notice the pine tree with misletoe and the lizzard! Pines ordered to plant the empress Maria Theresa to curb the existing desert 66 km from Pressburg, now capital of Slovakia-Bratislava. Prepare Cabbage Strudel (sweet) during long Covid days. Roast the cabbage first (put some butter or oil, do not cover the pan by tap). Cover the strudel dough (or similar one) with roastwd cabbage, add raisins, cinnamon, cardamom and some slices of ghee or butter (tastes better). Make a roll and put in the oven for around 25 min. Add some honey before eating if you feel the cabbage strudel is not enough sweet. Enjoy!!!! @ Bratislava, Slovakia

Krav Maga founder Imrich Lichtenfeld “Imi” one of the best wrestlers in Europe, excellent gymnast, acrobat and boxer grew up in Bratislava. The commemorative plaque is placed in the beginning of Zidovska St. (Jewish Street) and at the end of the same street you find the Jewish Museum. David Unreich “Dufi” born in Bratislava was one of the best heavy weight Jewish wrestler in the world. Both Imi and Dufi organized a militia to defend Jewish quarter from anti-Semitic attacks in pre-war Bratislava. Dufi preferref to be a boxer and wrestler to career of rabbi. Later he left pre-war Bratislava and lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA. His six brothers managed to emigrate, but his parents and his sister with kids were deported to Auschwitz and never came back...The symbolic sculpture at the entrance of Theme Restaurant on Sturova Street in Bratislava represent his strong body. Why there? He used to work also as a restaurant bouncer...

Castle in Pezinok is nicely recently reconstructed former water castle in the vicinity of Bratislava, opened also on Mondays. Just 20 minutes train ride and 15 min easy walk. Getting there check the time of the guided tour and having time before or after the tour just visit for free, by yourself, the ancient
wine cellars under the Castle. Some oak wine cascs are hundreds years old. Try a glass of a good wine produced in the winery of the owner of the Castle- Mr. Šimák. During the guided tour of the 13th century Castle try do get the symbolism hidden in the wall paintings of the Knight Hall. Part of the Tudor like window stained glassworks are made of the bases of the wine glasses, the chandelier from the end of 19th century was manufactured by Siemens Company. You will love the simple, beautiful Chapel dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, decorated with the crystal glass chandelier and modern furniture. Then you will visit the Art Glass Gallery, one of the best private collectiond in the world, masterpieces made by the foreign artists (such as Dave Chihuly, Paolo Venini, Dino Martens, Fulvio Bianconi, Toot Zynsky) as well as of the famous Slovak and Czech glass artists (Jan Zoričak, Pavel Hlava, Martin Janecký, Zora Pálová, Ivana Šrámková, among others). The burial mound erected for Rastislav Stefanik, one of the founders of Czechoslovakia, legendary Slovak general (of French and Czechoslovak Army), pilot, astronomer, art and ethnography collector, photographer, mountaneer who died at the age of 38 in a plane crash just some weeks before his wedding with his fiancé -Italian marchioness Giuliana Benzini. This rectangúar mound 96 by 70 with 4 obelisks, rising above the village,his birtplace, was constructed in 280 days in 1928. Elegant, unique and original pastry store in the 16th century renaissance house some steps from the Bratislava main square. Savoring excellent desserts made without any additives, or preservatives in newly painted fresco neo-renaissance style you recognize famous people who lived, worked or were born here, images of the patrons of the local operating guilds, former names of the city, beautiful paintings of historical cityscapes..... On the way down to the toilets is a beautifully decorated metal door forged in 16th century in Venetia.
