About
I am Shekuba Kamara, 35 years of age, born on July 9, 1985. I have been living in Guinea, Conakry since when the Rebel Civil War broke out in Sierra Leone on March 23rd 1991. I started my Educational Journey in 1992 in Guinea in an Islamic Academic Institution where I did French and Basic Islamic Studies.
Throughout my childhood days, I have been in Guinea where after dropping out of the French and Islamic School because my parents couldn’t afford to pay fees, I started English Primary School under the International Rescue Committee (IRC), a United Nations Agency School Programme that was freely designed for Refugees living in War affected neighbouring countries.
However, under this refugee system, I completed my Primary School in English and proceeded to the Junior Secondary School in Sierra Leone after the War had been declared over in 2002. As young and dedicated I am, I spent three years at Junior School, where I sat to the Basic Education Certificate Examination in Freetown at the Government Independent Memorial Secondary School in Freetown. Upon completion of my Junior School, I continued to the Senior School, where I sat to the West African Senior Schools Certificate Examination after three years of studies.
However, after my lower level studies, I continued to pursue my dreams with high determination to see that my plans come through. I enrolled at the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology to pursue my career in Tourism Management and graduated as a Tour Guide in 2015. During my stay in College as a student, I started practicing my chosen career as a Tour Guide in 2013 and upon graduation; I had already been qualified as a Certified Tour Guide in Sierra Leone.
