Below is brief description of herself

My name is Kadiatu Mariama Bangura Secretary of Deaf Women Advocacy Network Sierra Leone & Deaf Advocacy Officer for Foundation for Advocacy and LIteracy Development Sierra Leone.
I was born hearing on the 29th June, 1994 at Adesanya Street Brookfields Freetown Sierra Leone and had my hearing problem at the age of 5 years from unknown sources. All efforts to regain my hearing to no avail.
I attended the National School for the Deaf in Freetown where I learned Sign Language and Vine Memorial Secondary School for Girls at Congo Cross Freetown up to JSS3, and Excel International High School for girls Congo Cross and stopped in SSS 2. I sat to the WASCE at the National Pentecostal Secondary School. I hold a Diploma in IT from Sulisha Institute of Management and Computer Studies along Regent Road.
I studied Fashion Designing at YWCA Brookfields for three years (2017-2019).
I have certificate in Cinematography and Journalism from 1000 Women Empower Institution at TowerHill.
I am an orphan and single.
I worked with NaCOVERC as Quarantine pilliar field officer from April 2020 to February 2021. I served as the first Deaf female Sign Language Commmunication Facilitator in quarantine homes between NaCOVERC staff and Deaf people.
I am one of the founding members of the Deaf Women Advocacy Network Sierra Leone (DWANSL) and presently the National Secretary. I am aspiring to contest in the 1st.Miss & Mister Deaf Africa (MMDA) 2021 in Dar ES Salaam, Tanzania in East Africa to represent my country Sierra Leone and to expose myself as representative of Deaf Women with talent who have been denied access to opportunities that would lead to our inclusion and empowerment for development of the deaf and Disabilty community in general. I am passionate about the potentials that deaf women and girls possessed which when tapped can change the narrative and therefore, I wanna change the narrative by my participation, serve as the voice of the voiceless to counter the discrimination against deaf women in society. My dream is to identify myself with the problems deaf women are faced in all areas of socio-economic development, human rights, education, health communication and employment, and seek opportunities for partnership for the development of Deaf Women and Girls in Sierra Leone. Deaf women and girls need equal opportunities as others in society to enable them live dignified and meaningful lives. Barriers to our culture, identity and language development for inclusion must be removed for our lives to be improved hence development.
This is my first opportunity to participate in an event having missed several such wonderful opportunities in the past.
I need support to make my dream of participating in the 1st. Miss & Mister Deaf Africa 2021 a reality.

Short Biography

Alice Hawa Sesay is an actress and philanthropist from Freetown, Sierra Leone. Since her SOLLYWOOD film debut in 2020, she has appeared in an astounding 60 films, selling hundreds of video copies. After receiving numerous recognition at several production houses in Sierra Leone, launching movies and amassing an enviable fan base. Today, she is not only noted for her incomparable showbiz accomplishments, but is also applauded for her remarkable humanitarian efforts. Over the years, Alice has been a pioneer in Sierra Leone film industry, successfully becoming one of the most watched actress in Africa.

Alice Hawa Sesay is seen as the princess of Sierra Leone movie industry. She spent the early years of her life growing up with a family of 7, including her parents and 3 sisters with a brother. She began to hawk as a petty trader before launching her on-screen career and attending an unexpected audition in 2020 where her career as an actress began.

In the late 2020 to this day, the increasingly known actress starred in several sequel films including: Ramatu, Sins of the Past, My Father's act, Love me with hate, Independence Dream, Sinna, Mariama, Lake of sorrow, Rush, The cursed princess and many more; some on editing.
