English is the official language in Sierra Leone, but the Krio language is widely spoken in the capital and lesser degree in rural areas. The Krio dialect is native to the Creole people who were free slaves from Britain, USA and West Indies. The Krio dialect is derived from English but blend with other African and European languages. Other languages used in rural areas are Temne language which is spoken by the largest ethnic group the Temne in the Northern Province and Mende language which is spoken mainly by the Mende people predominantly based in the South-eastern province. Freetown City which is the capital city of Sierra Leone is a bustling and vibrant city with lots of day and night time activities. Activities include wildlife and nature, Cultural heritage, recreational attractions, relaxing in the miles of white sandy beaches and night time clubbing.
