The sudds is an independent ecosystem. Boasting of being the Africa’s largest wetlands, it measures 57,000 square kilometers. The sudds is home to various endangered mammalian species, millions of birds and large fish populations.
The dominant cultural affiliations in the sudds are the tribes Nuer,Dinka and Shilluk.

Hiking the famous mountain in juba Jebel kujur is one the best experience tourist get, it gives a beautiful view of the city and at the top you also get to see the mountain hyraxes. Very quite and conducive for contemplation as well.
